You want to update your display name, avatar, or preferences.
You need to adjust your notification or subscription settings.
Your posts and comments will remain visible, but they will be displayed under the username “Community Member.”
Your current username will be released and can be used by another account.
If you re-register in the future, you may be able to use your old username (if available). However, your previous posts, articles, access, and badges will not be restored or linked to your new account.
Sign in to the community account you want to close.
Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the page.
Select My Settings.
Choose Close Account.
Confirm by selecting Close Account again.
Enter the username associated with the account.
Select Close Account one final time.
Your account will be closed, and you will automatically be logged out.
If you encounter issues while closing your account, please submit a request using our Customer Support Operations Request Form.
