I need to delete a student

I need to delete a student. I mistakenly enrolled a student with the incorrect name.  I enrolled him in 5th grade. This name is incorrect. I have him in with the correct name now.

@PauletteG  - Deleting students is not recommended.  What you should do is to transfer the student out with the exit date the same as the entry date.  This will inactivate the student.  I have added a note to the student's name, such as Do Not Use, this way we know the record is invalid.  I also add an exit note indicating why when transferring them out.

Is there a way to actually delete them?

You can delete students via DDA, but it is not supported and not recommended. The supported method is to Archive the student.
