Technical Services

To assist you with the many aspects of managing PowerSchool, the Technical Solutions Group ("TSG") is pleased to offer a wide range of technical service offerings that customers can choose from before, during, and after their on-premise implementation. Experienced TSG Systems Engineers, Database Administrators and Network Engineers are available to work with the district technical resources to provide technical expertise relating to the deployment and configuration of PowerSchool and its underlying infrastructure.

 

 

 

The most popular TSG services for PS SIS include:

 

 

  • Enterprise Management Service ("EMS"): As TSG's flagship offering, EMS delivers a comprehensive managed service solution. It provides 24/7/365 environment monitoring, nightly backups with long-term data storage, and unlimited updates for PowerSchool, Oracle, state/provincial reporting, SIF, operating systems, and other software. The service includes emergency restorations of production instances and weekly data refreshes for non-production instances.  Infrastructure support provides near-24-hour coverage Sunday through Thursday, and operates from 3:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • PowerSchool SIS version upgrade: These one-time deployment services are best suited for PowerSchool customers with only an occasional need for technical services, and provide the completion of the procedures necessary to upgrade a self-hosted instance of PowerSchool to the most recent major releases of the world's most popular student information system.  
  • Server migration services provide a seamless transition of an existing PowerSchool SIS environment to new infrastructure by installing and configuring the current production versions of the application and database, migrating all data, and applying required updates and optimizations. The service includes performance tuning, security and network configuration, preservation of custom content and integrations, and restoration of supporting features such as reporting, document attachments, and alerts. The migration concludes with full system validation to ensure the PowerSchool SIS is fully operational and ready for end‑user access.
