Hi,
I received an email from my child's new school instructing me to sign up for PowerSchool. However, when I tried to register, I received a message saying that an account with my email already exists, and I was unable to sign up. I contacted the school IT department, and they informed me that my email address was still on record because my other child had previously attended the school. They said they deleted that account and advised me to try signing up again.
However, when I attempted to register again, I encountered the same message: "An account with that email address already exists." The school is now suggesting that I change my email address. Is there really no other solution?
You could ask the school to add your child to old account and reset your password so you can login again to the old account.
Please remember to give Kudos and/or select Accept As Solution on the helpful posts to thank the author and to help others find the solution. Thanks!
Thank you for your response. However, the school administrator informed me that they deleted my email account within the school system and that I should be able to register again with the same email. I had notified the administrator from the very beginning of the issue that I am unable to register again (I keep receiving a message saying an account already exists). Are you sure this is an issue that can be resolved within the school system? If so, does this mean my account hasn’t been deleted and that I just need to be added as a student? Or is this a problem that might be difficult to resolve, even for the administrator?
