TAC - add absent tag to Missing, Excused, etc. & "grade simulator"

Can we get an additional "A"/"ABS" tag for assignments, so instead of either leaving it blank or excusing, we can mark them as absent - and, perhaps, the system can cross-connect and automatically mark an assignment/quiz/etc. as absent when they are absent in the listing?

Also, can we get a way to "simulate" a grade, instead of having to bring an assignment forward in due date temporarily in due date to show a student the impact an assignment will have on their overall grade? And instead of having to save things to TAC to show the change, we can just "simulate"?

And can we get the ability to have a spoof/Johnny Doe student to show a class grade impacts - like we can give them a manually-entered overall average, and show a class how much scores will change their grade, especially for "borderline" students?

Hi @rdietznisd

  1. The system to automatically mark the student's assignments as excused based on their attendance in eSchool would be an Enhancement Request. You can log this as an Enhancement Request on PowerSchool Ideas Portal so that the product team can take a look at this. This article should walk you through how to raise an Enhancement Request.
  2. Currently, the only way to get a 'grade' to show would be to enter scores/assignments and recommend your request on the PowerSchool Ideas Portal.
  3. Currently, the ability to have a student to show a class grade impacts and show a class how much scores will change their grade is not available in PowerSchool. We recommend you to add this request as well on the PowerSchool Ideas Portal.

In the Meanwhile, we recommend contacting the Technical Contact of your district who should be able to bring up this topic at the eSchoolPLUS Office Hours.
