I have set up my DEX for this upcoming school year with the new profile year. However, when I go to my Data Exchange, it's blank and says "No collections for this school." How can I get it to where I can start publishing?

I do not have a solution to this problem, but only wanted to report that I am experiencing the same thing. We have two sub districts configured for our DEX. All schools in one of the sub districts are publishing fine. However, the second has a blank Profile Dashboard for the Data Exchange and a message "No collections for this school."

 

I have confirmed that the LEA is enabled and tested the connection in both PS and in the datahub. The connection tests are all successful. I have also confirmed that the Resource Configurations and Organizations for the DEX are appropriately selected.

 

I appreciate any advice before I try opening a support ticket!

I met with another PS user today who has experienced this problem in the past. In short, we disabled and re-enabled the DEX plug in and then reset the system. The Data Exchange screen is working again after these steps.

 

Be sure you are the only user logged in before proceeding (system management > security > current users), as the reset takes a while to complete. Mine took about 15 minutes. Anyone trying to login during this time not be able to do so.

 

 

At the District level

System Management > Server > Plugin Configuration

uncheck the box to Disable the PowerSchool Data Exchange (DEX)

after a few minutes, check it again to Enable it

 

System Management > Server > Reset Server

check the box to Restart the PowerSchool SIS

add a comment for the reason for your restart

select Restart selected services now
