Opted In
This status means the number has responded to the shortcode and has allowed us to send text messages. You can send texts to this number as part of any broadcast.
Opted Out
This status indicates the owner of the text number has sent a "No" or "Stop" to the shortcode for your business or district. We cannot send texts to this number until the owner sends a "Yes" or "Y" response to the shortcode.
Note: Numbers can be opted in or out at any time by the owner of the phone by texting "Yes" or "Y" to opt in, and "No" or "Stop" to opt-out.
Pending Opt-In
This status means your district is using a double opt-in, where you request permission from a number to be allowed to continue to send texts to that number. The owner of this number has not replied to that permission request. Note that we cannot send texts to a number in Pending Opt-In status, as texting in double opt-in requires explicit permission from the owner of the phone in the form of an affirmative reply ("Yes" or "Y")
As above, the owner can opt-out any time after opting in, and vice versa.
