PowerSchool Version Upgrade/Update Service - Offers services for existing PowerSchool customers to have a version release update applied.


PowerSchool's Technical Solutions Group (TSG) is pleased to offer this service should you not wish to perform the procedure yourself.

Reviewing the information found within this page may help you determine if you would like to purchase the PowerSchool Version Update service from TSG and will guide you through the process should you decide to do so.

Note: This service only applies to customers currently running version 12.0 or greater.

A PowerSchool Version is defined as the current version number of PowerSchool such as PowerSchool 25.x or PowerSchool 26.x.

A PowerSchool Version Release is defined as an update to the current version number of PowerSchool such as PowerSchool 25. x.y or PowerSchool 26. x.y.

A PowerSchool Version Upgrade is defined as an upgrade from one PowerSchool Version to another PowerSchool Version such as PowerSchool 25.x.y to PowerSchool 26.x.y.


The PowerSchool Version Update service provides version release updates between the same PowerSchool versions. PowerSchool 25.x customers will be updated to the current or desired version release of PowerSchool 25.x. PowerSchool 26.x customers will be updated to the current or desired version release of PowerSchool 26.x.

Five Easy Steps to Update your server to the latest version of PowerSchool.

Review the System Requirements (attached below) to ensure that the infrastructure components of your environment are supported.
Review the PowerSchool Version Update Service Statement of Work (attached below).
To proceed with the purchase of the update, please contact TSG at tsghelpdesk@powerschool.com so that a formal quote for services can be provided to you.
Upon receipt, please email your purchase order and a signed copy of the proposal to TSG Management (tsgmanagement@powerschool.com) with the Description, "PowerSchool Version Update" for faster processing.
Submit an update request once directed by TSG to do so. Note: You will need to be registered as a Technical Contact to submit the online request.

Once your request has been processed, you will be notified via email that a TSG Systems Engineer has been assigned to perform your PowerSchool Version Update during your desired service dates.
