Permanently storing grades

I inadvertently over-wrote previously stored term grades for a group of students. Is there a way to restore them? I cannot reset to right before I stored them, as too much has happened in the meantime, but I'm hoping to not have to restore them manually. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you already did? Or did you change them via DDA or something? I am not 100% clear on what mistake you are trying to correct.

Hi thanks for your reply. Term 4 grades were in place. When I went to store term 5 I initially chose T5 but then had to exit. When I returned to the page I didn't change it back to T5, so the system wrote over term 4 grades with term 5 grades. At this point, I have not corrected Term 4. It's 8 grades each for 51 students. How would I change that using DDA? Maybe with the store date? Thanks for any help.

If I am understanding you correctly, you stored T5 grades as T4 grades, overwriting those T4 grades that were already in Historical (the StoredGrades Table).

You should just be able to select those 51 students and re-store T4 as T4 for just them (using Additional Filter Options to store for the selection).

You may want to double check with teachers just in case. In my experience they sometimes make changes in PT Pro and "forget" to notify folks on the Admin side.

Thank you, Jeff. I'm not sure how to point it to the correct group of grades to store. I've never made this kind of error before, and I'm annoyed with myself!

Without knowing exact specifics I can only guess, but if I had to re-store a previous term's grades for a select group of students, I would do it as in the attached screenshots.

Assume:

I am re-storing Q3, which ended on 4/6/2025

I am re-storing for a selection of students

I am only re-storing full-year classes

I only store Potential Credit for quarter grades

The attached screenshots show how I would configure the screen. If you are only storing for a specific section, you can do that too in Additional Filter Options. If you are storing for a specific section, you do no have to select students first.
