If you are working within an organization that has purchased Schoology, you will want to reach out to the school administrators to request they create an account for you. Schoology is only offered to organizations that purchase the product at a school or district level.
As Jamie mentioned, your Schoology Enterprise school/district will have to do that for you. If you are talking about Basic Accounts, they stopped creating those during the pandemic and are eliminating them in October.
is there a way to recover saved items in the Schoology Basic Accounts?
Only if you save those items to your resources and then export them. They will be in Common Cartridge (IMSCC or ZIP) files that can be imported into another LMS. I believe Canvas by Instructure still offers free accounts for educators.
