Final Grade Not Calculating Correctly

My teachers use Schoology and they synchronize grades into PS but there is a difference in the final average between both. Schoology is the correct one while PS changes a 7.7 average into a 8.2 final grade

When I notice that everything doesn't match between the two systems, the first thing I check is the setup of the categories in SGY. They need to be set up as Points because that is how PS calculates. If that is already points, then I compare the category averages in both systems. They helps to narrow down where the error might be. Also, does your district have a rule of no grades lower than a certain percentage? In our district, this is set up in PS but it can't be in SGY. So if a teacher has a grade lower than 50% in SGY, when it syncs to PS it becomes 50% and the scores are different.

We have category weighting in SGY so I was thinking that we might need to have also category weighting in PS.

Yes! If you have category weighting in SGY, you also need it set up the same in PS.
