Entering a grade for a student no longer on a roster

If a student has been dropped from a class (Moved), what is the best way for a teacher to add a grade to their gradebook for the student that they are no longer seeing on their roster?

If you are using PowerTeacher Pro, dropped students are still in the gradebook at Students>Show Dropped. See attached.
