Enroll a new student - Demographics page missing parent section

When we enrolled a few weeks ago, our Demographics page had a section where we would enter the parent(s) name(s).  That section is no longer there.  Is this something that I missed that was being changed?  Is the new fix to go to contact management and add?

You're IT department must have made this change. PowerSchool allows you to hide the legacy parent fields on the Demographics page.

Thank you so much for this!  I was told disabling the custom contact types is something that should be done now.  It was never clarified to me why would I disable it but was told its not necessary.  Once I removed that check mark, the demographics page went back to what we were accustomed to.  Thank you so much.  Just a novice here trying to figure things out.
