End of year rollover

Has anyone rolled over their school year right after school has ended instead of waiting until the end of June.  Pros and Cons.

We wait until the end of July, after summer school and our state reports are completed. I am not sure what the Pros would be if you rolled over right after the school year. The Pros for us rolling over in July are that summer school is completed, and state reports are completed before the new data is live for the new school year.
