Disabling chat function in schoology for one student

Is there a way to disable the chat function in Schoology for an individual student while the other students in the group can still use the chat? This is requested by that individual student.

Good Day! Currently, there is no method built into the system to disable the chat function for an individual student. I would recommend creating a custom role in User Management and then disabling the messaging for this role. I recommend reviewing this article for more information on User Management: Roles. Then you can use this role to set permissions to turn specific features on or off for the users under this role.
