I am looking for some guidance. Our high school is adjusting our grading scale beginning next school year, and we are wondering about also adjusting our Weighted GPA scale. For example, we are looking at changing our current weighted courses from a 5.0 to a 4.33 scale. We are concerned about how this could affect class rank. An example is if a Senior took a class his Senior year and it used the new weighted GPA, and a different Senior took that same course her Sophomore year with the old weighted scale. This would throw off the class ranks. Does anyone know of a way to make this work without it being a huge headache?
