Attendance ADA/ADM versus Chronic Daily Absence Metrics

Hello, we were comparing ADA numbers that we got out of PowerSchool using 2 different methods and our numbers were different.  Depending on the grade some were only different by .01%, other by 2 or 3%.

One way was by running School Attendance – Chronic Daily Absent Metrics, which shows the ADA in the last box.

The other is to run the ADA/ADM by Student Report which is under System Reports – Membership and Enrollment.

When we each pulled up our reports (we are looking at the month of November), we looked at the membership days and they were different. For example, 9th grade for the month of November, the second report (ADA/ADM) showed total membership days of 3254, the first one (Chronic Daily Absent Metrics) showed 3258.  So why is there a difference?  Which report is accurate?

Has anyone else had this issue and found a workaround, or is there a flaw somewhere?

Hi,

Should you still be experiencing this issue, kindly request your technical contacts to review the Troubleshooting Attendance (ADA/ADM) article on your behalf. Determine if this resource assists in resolving the matter. If not, I recommend collaborating with them to initiate a case with PowerSchool SIS support to seek further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation.
