This serves to announce the latest updates to the SM Sender App which was accepted and released to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on Monday, May 27th 2024.

Audience

This announcement is for all users of the SM Sender App (District and School Admin Users)

Details

The primary focus of this update is to support the most current OS versions on both Android (OS14) and Apple (iOS17) to ensure security and future development support.

This release also changed how the recipient list counts were tallied to ensure parity with Message Sender in Communicate.

One customer reported issue was corrected where the recipient list page occasionally would not load and display an error.

The minimum supported OS for this version of SM Sender is now OS11 on Android and iOS16 on Apple.

Process

Upon launch of the app, the user will be prompted to update to the latest version of the app in the appropriate App Store.
