SchoolMessenger CMA: Managing content channels through app settings

Content Channels in the custom app are used for:

  • Sending push notifications

  • Ensuring important notices reach the intended School or District

How to Manage Content Channels

  1. Open the builder platform.

  2. On the left navigation menu, go to Manage Application Settings.

  3. Click Channels.

  4. Ensure the Content Channels toggle is ON for the feature to be active.

Adding Channels: Two Options

You can add channels using either of the following methods:

1. Import Channels (CSV)

  • Upload a CSV data source containing the channels to be added.

  • The CSV must follow the required format for successful upload.

  • Use this method when adding multiple channels at once.

2. Add Channels Manually

For each channel, provide:

  • Name: The display name of the channel

  • Group: Organize multiple channels under the same group

  • Icon: Select the icon to be used for the channel

Use this method when adding individual channels or making quick adjustments.
