SchoolMessenger CMA: Importing calendars and setting content channels

You can add calendars through the Content section of the builder platform by selecting Events and clicking + Manual. This creates a new collection that can later be converted into a calendar feed.

You have two options for adding data:

Import
Add (Manual)

Method 1: Importing Calendar Data

When importing, you can choose from three source options:

Uploading a .csv file
SongKick
iCalendar (recommended option)

Steps:

Select iCalendar (or another source) and upload the iCal feed.
Look for the clock icon, which indicates the Imported status.
Wait until the imported status shows as successful.
Once complete:
- Preview your data in the builder.
- Check the content channels where the calendar notifications should be displayed.

Method 2: Manually Adding Events

Use the Add item option to manually create events.

Required fields to fill:

Name (mandatory)
Description
Start time (mandatory)
End time
Image
Venue
RSVP link
Location

Steps:

Click Add item.
Fill in all required event details.
Once added, select the appropriate content channels where the events should be notified.

Ensure events/calendars are assigned to the correct content channels so notifications reach the intended users.
