Generating updated custom app bundles

Prerequisites

This task can only be executed by a PS employee with admin access to the CMA app builder.

Steps to Generate the Bundle

  1. Open the app builder "backoffice".

  2. On the left navigation menu, click Reports.

  3. Go to the App Builds report section.

  4. Enter the App NID and click Search to locate the custom app whose bundle must be generated.

  5. You will see two checkbox options:

    • iOS

    • Android

  6. Check the platform you need and click Mass Build.

    • Recommendation: Perform this process individually for iOS and Android (do not build both at the same time).

Downloading and Publishing the Bundle

  1. After the build completes, the build file is generated on an internal channel (If you don't have access, contact the SchoolMessenger CMA team for access).

  2. Download the updated build file.

  3. Upload the file to:

    • Google Play Console

    • Apple Developer platform

  4. Submit the bundle for review on each platform.

Once the review process is complete and approved, the new bundle file will be live on the stores.
