Can I sign in to McGraw Hill ConnectED from PowerSchool Learning?

 

Answer

 

As long as you have the right credentials from McGraw Hill, you can sign in to McGraw Hill from PowerSchool Learning using an LTI Tool. This does not affect how users sign into PowerSchool Learning. Once The LTI tool is added to the Domain, it can be accessed from the Apps menu in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Set up McGraw Hill ConnectED LTI tool.

 

   1. Navigate to LTI Tools under the Applications tab within Domain Control.       1.png

 

   2. Click on the Add LTI Tool button.

   3. Enter McGraw Hill ConnectED in the Name field.

   4. Enter https://aairs.tegrity.com/Service/RedirectCMSLink.aspx in the Host field.

 

   5. Enter the Consumer Key and Secret provided to you by McGraw Hill in the Key and Secret fields.

 

   6. Check the box next to Add to the Apps Menu if you would like a button to appear in the navigation bar at the top of the screen for all users. If you would prefer that users access ConnectED through an LTI Content Block within the Class, skip this step.

   7. Enter "application_type=ConnectED,username=%{user.login},id=%{user.import_id}" in the Custom Fields field (without quotes).

   8. Check the boxes next to Share Names with this Tool? and Share Email Addresses with this Tool?

   9. Click Save to save your LTI tool

 

   10. Click on Manage Tool and select Change Icon

   11. Download and save the McGraw Hill ConnectED logo to your computer here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yym77O5JysFJEs9zlOIEJxRUs_EK4k39/view?usp=sharing

 

   12. Click on Choose File and select the logo that you just downloaded and saved to your computer and then click Save.

   13. Now, the McGraw Hill ConnectED button will appear in the Navigation bar at the top of the screen. Users who click on it will be taken to ConnectED as if they had logged in with their McGraw Hill credentials.
