Adobe - Flash Change Means Equation Editor No longer Available After January 1st 2021
On January 1st, 2021, Adobe will end support for Flash. This means that the embedded Equation Editor will no longer be available to use in the previously available spaces in Learning and Unified Classroom.
After this point, Teachers will no longer be able to create or edit existing equations that have already been built using the current tools. For Teachers looking for a new way to create and share equations within PowerSchool Learning or Unified Classroom Learning we recommend that Teachers use an online equation editor and put the question image in the desired space.
A few online equation editing tools can be found below:
To better ensure compatibility in the future, we recommend inserting the equations as an image. Other ways such as copy and pasting could result in code being used that is dependent on other sources. Using an image will ensure no changes occur after the equation image is created and added.
Once Flash is no longer supported, the Equation Editor button will be removed from it's current locations to prevent confusion.
