Troubleshoot: Uploading Documents

Issue

If your school district requires you to submit documentation with your PowerSchool Enrollment form, they will include a field where you can upload these documents.

PowerSchool Enrollment forms can receive any file type in these document upload fields. However, only one file can be uploaded per document field.

If you are having trouble uploading documents, or need to upload more than one file, we would suggest that you contact your school district for further guidance on how to submit this documentation. However, there are a few steps you can take before contacting your school.

Resolution

  1. Clear the browsing data from your web browser. You can find the instructions on how to clear your browser below:
  2. Switch to a different web browser
    • PowerSchool Enrollment works best with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, but you can try all the browsers at your disposal!
  3. Attempt to upload the document from a different device.
    • If you are using a smartphone, try switching to a tablet or desktop computer.
  4. If you need to upload more than one file, but only one document upload field is available, try transferring the information into one data file then upload.

NOTE: Image files need to be in JPG, GIF, PNG, or TIF format. When uploading documents, it's important to make sure that they are smaller than 2.5MB. Files over 2.5MB are usually too large to upload.

Hello. Where would the field provided by the school district be found or located?

Hi @Ms_LaRae!

Thank you for the question!

If you are unable to find the option on the enrollment form, we recommend contacting the school district that you are in and they should be able to assist you further.

I cannot Print out the enrollment form like I want to, It says its not a secure site. And when I try to save the 6page enrollment document it does not allow it to be done, I am using a iPhone on Chrome and all cookies are cleared.

I am unable to upload the documents I need in order to start an application.  They upload and then get kicked out.  I have researched it and done all of the steps I am supposed to but it is still not working.  I would like to call a person, but I can't find a phone number anywhere.  I also tried the chat and it was not helpful.

Does anyone have a phone number to reach a person or had the same problem and figured out how to solve it?

Hello,

I could not upload the files because when I select upload, it does not perform any action.

I already tried from several devices, but the upload option is not activated.

Thanks for the help

Hey it’s not letting me upload documents

Hi @karolynaherrera , @kera1

If clearing the browser history cache and cookies and switching browser and device did not work for you, we would recommend submitting a support ticket and working with the enrollment team who should be able to have a closer look at your form configuration and assist you further. You can click on this link and contact them directly.

Hi everyone!

There is something missing in this troubleshooting guide that I think it is worth mentioning, and this is that the maximum size limit for the attachments page is 10 MB.

This means that the size of all the documents that have been uploaded to a student's profile cannot be over 10 MB.

This is important because you might be trying to upload a file that fulfils the extension and size requirements, but if your attachments page is close to 10 MB and the file you're trying to upload exceeds this limit, you will receive a message saying "The document cannot be uploaded due to storage limits. Please contact your school to resolve this issue."

You can check on the total size of all the files uploaded on the Attachments Page.

I hope my contribution helps!
