Hi, I'm new to PowerSchool, and our Dean of Students is asking me for a weekly attendance report that he can review to determine when students have accrued 9 points in a semester, based on our policy's point system below.
Is there an easy report I can pull from PowerSchool that would show me this info? Thank you!
Attendance Policy:
1. Verified Absence: An absence where the student’s guardian has called the school to excuse the absence.
2. Unexcused Absence: An absence where there has been no communication by the student’s guardian to the school.
The following types of absences are worth the corresponding points:
- Unexcused absence (whole day): 1 point
- More than 4 unexcused missed classes in a day: 1 point
- 1 to 4 unexcused missed classes in a day: 0.5 point
- Verified absence (whole day): 0.5 point
- More than 1 verified missed classes in a day: 0.5 point
(The most possible points that a student can accrue in one single day is 1 point. The most possible points any verified absence can accrue in a single day is 0.5 point.)
