Seeing students for a school that is inactive now but active last year (to run a report)

Is there a way to make students visible — even temporarily — in a school that was active last year but not this year? ...so we can run a report...

Details:

1. We need to re-run a special attendance report* from 2024-2025.  (*NJ ADA/ADM by Student for average daily attendance/membership.)
2. The report requires selection of a school — it can't be run from District Office.  
3. When we change the actively selected school to OldMiddleSchool and click 2024-2025, no students are listed on the search page — I assume because they are not in that school right now! However, their data is all still in tact — section assignments, attendance, etc. The only reason we'd want to see them is so they can be part of the report.

Things we tried

1. We checked that we were in the right school in the right year.
2. The report works in other cases: students who are active in the school currently.
3. Enrollment History for each student correctly shows "Promoted Next School" for the change from 2024-2025 to 2025-2026 and dates look good, too.
4. Checked the school info — the grades (5-8) are still listed.
5. We tried the historical grade levels — it didn't affect anything. (That's because it's just for grades/GPAs).

Possible Fixes:

1. Your idea?
2. (Terrible idea, I suspect) Transfer the kids back into Old school and transfer them out just to run the report. But so far, that's the only idea we have not tried.
3. Another way to get average daily attendance/membership report?

Place a date when the student was enrolled there and enter the student number.

Just putting *as_of=8/31/2024 actually listed all the students as of that date. Is there a way to list all students who ever were in the school the whole year? Sort of like as_of=any date between 8/29/2024 and 6/25/2025?

Were the students all Transferred Out of that old building? You can search for inactive students with / in front of the search term, such as /Smith

If you just search /

From the Start Page you should be able to grab everyone.
