When creating next year's calendar - will it be problematic to "pad" the beginning of one of the schools calendar with 2 weeks of not in session days with 0 membership? Would all the schools need to be set up the same way as this one school?

@SharonF4 That is not an issue. We set up all calendars from July 1st - June 30th, even though our actual days in-session are 8/17 - 5/24. We actually will temporarily make July 15th an "in-session" day and use that as the enrollment date for all new students. Then we go back and change that date to NOT "in-session".
You do not have to have all calendars setup the same.

Quick question: Why do you make July 15th an in session day? Do you have to do this to make the students active? Do you set it as In Session with no membership? Do you set it back from In Session before the first day of school or after? We are thinking of setting ours up 4 weeks before our first day of school so our new students are active and sent to the programs that we use and then also ease of teacher usage with new students.
will this solve take care of making our students in powerschool acitve for 2024-2025? I need to pull our current enrollment for sy 24-25.
where is the calendar?
We are powerschool challenged in our school at this time, so trying to muddle through.
Students become active based on their enroll_status...In order to get your enrollments numbers for 24-25 you would need to make sure you've completed the End of Year process that closes out the 23-24 school year.
This promotes your students and adjusts their enrollment records.
Once the End of Year process is complete and your are certain your years & terms are setup and the calendar is correct, all of your students should be active. If they are not it could be a couple of things:
1. Incorrect FTEID
2. Next School Indicator is incorrect

Just like @HeatherWeist, we pad our calendar each year, it's better to do it now...Adding days after the fact is a pain.

Hi Doug,
Do you set the first day to an In Session day like Heather mentioned? She said they change it back to a Not in Session afterwards.
Thanks
