Honor Roll Setup for 4 Marking Periods

We have switched from a full single Marking Period school year to a traditional 4 Quarter/Marking Period School year and have some questions on how people handle Honor Roll and Mark Types.

A little Background first. We now have 4 Marking Periods with all classes meeting either 2 Marking Periods or 4 Marking Periods before the course is over. Our Mark Types are as follows.

MP - The Final Grade for a quarter/RC Run that only gets uploaded once the Quarter is over

TMP - A Quarterly Mark Type that gets loaded in every night with the current Marking Periods Grades for that quarter.

FAV - The Final Average of all the MP grades once the course is finished. (Only runs end of Semester 1 and end of year)

TEMP - This Averages all the previous MP from the past RC runs and the TMP of the current RC run we are working in.

We want to do an honor Roll run based off the first 3 MPs and since we are already in to Quarter 4 with TMP being loaded in our TEMP mark type won't work and it looks like we would have to make a whole new mark type to get this to work.

So, my question to all of you is how is your Mark Types set up and how do you handle Honor Roll Setup/ when you run honor roll.

Thanks in advance for any help or references.

We set up 6 different GPA Calculation Methods for all periods we want to run Honor Roll (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, S1, and S2). This is set up at District in PS. Then, at the school level, I set up Honor Roll Methods to go with the 6 different GPA Calculation Methods. Each Honor Roll Method has three different levels (Gold, Silver, and Bronze).
