Dropping students still getting a grade in PowerTeacher and showing in gradebook

We have our courses set up on YL basis. Some students have changed sections or even just dropped the class at end of first semester. However, these students are still showing in teacher gradebooks and are even getting grades for assignments even though they are not actively enrolled in the class. Does anyone have experience with this or know how to exclude these students who dropped or changed sections at semester from getting grades on assignments?

This may sound obvious but were the students actually dropped from the section?

Teacher can also still work with dropped students in PT Pro.

A couple of things I would check--first and foremost, PT Pro. Take a look at the gradebook of the section the student was dropped from. Did the teacher have future grades entered?

Take a look at your Quick Lookup Settings. Are Q3 and S2 set to pull Historical or Current Grades?

Also make sure in Quick Lookup you are showing current classes only and not dropped classes.
