I'm looking for a refresher on how to copy course sections into the next year before we roll the SIS into the new school year. We use PowerScheduler for our high school and middle school scheduling, but our preschool and elementaries hand schedule students into course sections when secretaries return in August. I know that we can copy this year's course sections into 24-25, but I do not recall how to do this. I don't want our secretaries to have to spend hours creating all of the course sections when they return. Can someone give me the steps to copy 23-24 sections into 24-25?
Thanks!
Beth

I found it. 🙂
Can someone please share how to copy course sections from year to year?
How was this done? Is there a way to copy sections from one Semester to the next?
Hi, could you perhaps share how you did this?
Thanks!
If you are asking about the Copy Master Schedule function, in the New UI it is at School Management>Scheduling>Copy Master Schedule.
I just did it, so fast and easy.
Thanks again.
Can you copy course sections after you have scheduled the Master Schedule? I am trying to not have to enter every section again.
The Copy Master Schedule function is all or nothing. You cannot copy certain sections.
Is there a way to do this for just one course and not the entire master schedule?
Yes, I saw that. I was wondering if there is a way to do just one course. It is clear that "Copy Master Schedule" is not a way to do this. I was wondering if there IS a way to do this.
You could possibly export the sections, massage the data for the new year and import them back in, but honestly that would likely require as much or more work than creating them by hand, unless there are a lot of sections of that course.
Clever! Thanks.
