Changing course names in Schoology

Is there a way for teachers to change their course names in Schoology?  There is not a pencil icon for them to edit, like the videos show, so is there another way for them to do it.  For instance if it says Mathematics grade 8 section 5 can they change it to Mrs. Martin 3rd period?

Hi @Sayruh86,

I recommend working with the Schoology administrators in your school district who will have to enable the permission for the teacher user role of your school district to be able to change the course name. The name of the permission would be "Customize Course Name". Post that you will be able to change your course name.

Note: A District Course Name can be changed, however it is not recommended. District Course Names are typically used for various integrations and if it is changed on a course in Schoology, it will break that course's Curriculum Map link.
