UCTeacher: Copy a Template Class to an active SIS class?

We would like to be able to create a template class, and then copy its content from year-to-year / section to section, to our classes that have been synced from PowerSchool SIS.  As far as I can see, my only option is to copy the Template class to a new blank class that is a standalone Learning (Class Pages) class.  Is that correct?
