Hi, I've been forwarded an email and document 'Appendix A Technical Guidance for Assessment Evaluation and Reporting for 2019-20 School Year' *attached* containing clarification and guidance to school boards in issuing the Communication of Learning and Report Cards in June.
The message goes on to ask school boards to work with their vendors to address any required changes that will be necessary to reflect this guidance.
I understand a number of the items will be addressed in the coming June updates, but we looking for confirmation and guidance on what steps might yet still be necessary.
Thanks for asking about this.
I'm also wondering if the update will also include the possibility of inputting "I" for grade 11 and 12.
Please check out the new article "Entering Marks of 'I' for Senior Courses' just posted to
Good Morning,
We are testing the updates and the Grades 1-8 report cards show the required message from the Ministry and we are able to add the message for the Secondary report card and it displays properly. However, our Kindergarten Communication of Learning and our CTCC report cards grades 1-8 do not show the required information. Can you please let me know if we are missing somehting that needs to be updated.
Thanks,
Melinda
Hi Melinda:
The Kindergarten report cards use Trillium Reports to generate these report cards. Please install TrilRpts 5.43.20 in order to get that message appearing on your Kindergarten report cards.
Good Morning,
We are receving Compliance Report errors that were taught in first term but not reported on in Term 2. How will these issues be handled? Is it being handled by the Ministry or is there anything that needs to be completed on our end.
Thanks,
Melinda
Hi Melinda:
The OnSIS team has said that they will work with boards to adjust critical errors to allow the successful reporting of achievement information for elementary students. If you encounter critical errors in the report card section of the OnSIS file when uploading to the Ministry, please contact the OnSIS helpdesk.
Thanks 🙂
