How To: Permission Click Login Workflow

As part of Release 24.07.04.01, Permission Click team has made some changes to the Login Workflow.

 

 

  1. Currently, while logging into Permission Click, users are presented with the Login screen with Email and Password fields visible. Users using their Microsoft (Active Directory) accounts to login to the application were forced to using the “Sign in With Microsoft” option.

  1. When the users provide their email address, a background check would determine if the account is linked with an Active Directory profile or not.
  2. Users without an Active Directory profile linked with Permission Click would be able to login by providing their password.

  1. Users with Active Directory profile linked with Permission Click would be:
    1. Redirected to the Microsoft Login page if their account has not been authenticated. By providing the correct password and/or OTP, users would be logged into Permission Click.
    2. Automatically logged into Permission if their Microsoft account has already been authenticated.
  2. Users with Permission Click account linked with Google, would use the “Sign in with Google” option. The users would be redirected to Google login page and would be allowed to login to Permission Click by providing the correct username and password combination.
