SchoolMessenger Sender App- can't create/edit message content

We are trying to use the SM Sender App to send out messages for Snow Days or weather delays. The app says we need to use a saved message, but that we can edit the message before we send.

I cannot figure out how to create a message or edit the saved one in the app. Is it possible to do so? If yes - where??

Have you double checked that it isn't an issue with user permissions? There is probably a setting in the user profile that is preventing how you can send specific messages.
