Publishing Newsletters

  1. Broadcasts Tab and Messages:
    Once your newsletter has been created, you can Publish it by going to the Broadcast tab in the upper left, the selecting the Messages submenu.

  2. Newsletter:
    Next, select the Newsletter option in the left hand "Views" menu.

  3. Choose your Newsletter:
    Find the Newsletter you wish to publish in the list of available items. 

  4. Select Publish:

    To the right of the desired Newsletter, select Publish.

  5. Select Subscription Permissions:
    Choose to share with Anyone in your district, Top Level Users (essentially System Administrators), or One or more School (only users assigned to that school or schools will be able to subscribe)

  6. Click Next

    Confirmation.PNG

  7. Click Confirm

  8. Click Next

    Finish.PNG

  9. Click Done

  10. Published Items:
    Any Newsletter that you have Published will show with a gold star underneath, indicating changes to this stationery are published.

 

Subscribing to Newsletters

  1. Broadcasts Tab and Messages:
    Once your newsletter has been published, others can subscribe to it by going to the Broadcast tab in the upper left, the selecting the Messages submenu.

  2. Newsletter:
    Next, select the Newsletter option in the left hand "Views" menu.

  3. Select Subscribe to Msg/Stationery/Newsletter:

  4. Find the desired Newsletter: 
    The list will contain any message, stationery, or newsletter to which you can subscribe.
  5. Click Subscribe:
    Once clicked, the Subscribe link will change to read "Un-Subscribe". This indicates you have successfully subscribed to that newsletter.

  6. Subscription Confirmation:
    You will see the newsletter to which you subscribed in this list. It will have a gold star underneath stating you are subscribed to this message, and list the user who owns that content.

 

Using Newsletters in a Broadcast

  1. Message Content:
    From the Dashboard, after clicking New Broadcast and completing the subject, broadcast type, and recipients, you'll come to the Message Content area.

  2. Select Email:
    Newsletters are sent using the Email function. 

    Select Newsletter.PNG

  3. Select Newsletter:
    From the email creation area, select Newsletter. This will show you all the Newsletter templates available to you

  4. Click on the Newsletter you wish to use.

  5. Click Use Selected Newsletter:
    You can now make edits/changes to the Newsletter, and send the email as part of your regular broadcast.
