Release Notification: SchoolMessenger Home App v2.1.0 (07/08/2024)

Summary

The SchoolMessenger Home app will be pushing a new release to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on Monday, July 8th.  The Main focus of this release was support for iOS 17 and Android 14. A few other issues will also be addressed.

Audience

This notification is only for users of the SchoolMessenger Home App.

Details

Here is a summary of what is included:

• Accessibility improvements (accessible tags, color contrast, touch targets)
• Support to run on iOS 17 and OS 14 (minimum installed versions are now iOS16 on Apple and OS 11 on Android)
• Display the password requirements on the Sign-Up screen
• Auto-advance to next field requiring attention for SafeArrival absence reporting**
• Implement Alternate Claiming option on Contacts screen
• Fixed a bug that required a user to refresh the screen before they would see a joined group in Chat**

**SafeArrival and Chat are optional paid additions and may not be available to all users

Process

Once approved by the app stores, the app will provide an option to update upon next launch.
