This concerns the ability for SchoolMessenger Safe Arrival (POWERSCHOOL) to be able to "writeback" fields from Safe Arrival back to Edsembli SIS. Unfortunately, PowerSchool is unable to change the API process that SafeArrival uses for Edsembli SIS, including the fields used. This means that PowerSchool is only able to utilize the Writeback function if they make the student ID change to the SchoolMessenger imports. As an Edsembli SIS user, we use the Alberta Student Number (ASN) Ministry Code to identify all of our students...we do not use the internal student ID numbers. All throughout Alberta, the ASN is the proper identification to be used for students.
I just can't believe that such a big and powerful company as "PowerSchool" isn't able to morph the "student Internal ID in SafeArrival = ASN Ministry Number Edsembli", to enable this API to work.
I have also heard that your company is having major issues with your programs and support....this leads to a very low level of confidence in your programming.
There must be someone out there in your techie land of highly approved professional programmers that can make this writeback work somehow....
