My latest update of Powerschool for the iPhone crashes every time I launch it. Powerschool version 21.11.3. iPhone 6. iOS 12.5.5. According to the App Store, this version of the iOS is supported.
Hi @richboehne
This is a common issue many are facing recently. If upgrading to the latest iOS supported does not solve the issue, we recommend informing your district directly so that they can work with the PowerSchool Mobile Support Team through a case and have them take a closer look and assist you further to debug the issue.
I too have recently updated my iPhone to iOS16.1 and have noticed PowerSchool Mobile crashes when trying to see the updates. I uninstalled the application, then downloaded and at the screen when entering the school district code, clicking continue crashes the app, takes me back to the home screen. I have rebooted my iPhone and still NO SUCCESS! I think powerschool needs an update to run on iOS16 devices! or if there is a website version of powerschool we can get access to our students grades! That would be helpful while the technical staff try to figure out the obstacle!
Hi,
We are working with the support team to see if this is a bug. Meanwhile, we recommend working with the school district so they can connect with us and create a case to find a resolution.
Glad to hear the support team is looking at it, but still don't see why a case needs to be created by all of our schools in order to find a resolution. Perhaps its a bug, but more likely a compatability issue with the new Apple iOS - developers of apps should always be aware that when a big new iOS update is released the app needs to be able to be supported. I hope the Mobile App Team is currently looking at it and will find a resolution quickly!
Hi,
This appears to be an issue with iOS 16.1/iPad OS 16.1. The mobile team is aware of this issue and we are working on a fix. Please work with your district to get further updates on this concern when a fix is implemented.
Hi!
Since there are multiple reasons that can cause this issue, we would need to get reproduction steps and more details such as the version of the Mobile Application and the version of the district server, set up, etc to troubleshoot the cause. This is why we recommend reaching out to the school district so they can connect with us and create a case to find the root cause of the issue further.
I too am having issues with the app crashing since updating iPhone iOS to 16.1. When I try and open the app it goes directly to the enter school district code and when I click continue the app crashes.. Every single time. The app must need to be updated to be compatible with the new iOS and that should be a known issue!
