PowerTeacher App (First Time)

Hello!

This is the first time I am using the PowerTeacher App. I cannot see the correct current term in the app. Do you have any suggestions? Any help is really appreciated.

Hi Carmen,

If you are referring to the PowerTeacher portal (the Mobile App is for parents and students only), the Term cannot be changed by the teacher. Someone on the Admin side of PowerSchool in your school/district will need to make sure the correct Term is displayed.

Teachers are able to change the Term in PowerTeacher Pro.

Thank you! Do you know how to enable it from the Admin? I checked that it is enabled from the Mobile Browser Setting but still not seeing current year.

Pavonc,

The setting for which school year to display lives at Setup>District>Miscellaneous on the Admin side.

Is there still no PowerTeacher App?

@RosaV  When PowerSchool switch to PowerTeacher Pro as the grade book, the necessity for a PowerTeacher App is no longer needed. The reason is because PowerTeacher Pro is web based and can easily be accessed on any device with internet access through a web browser.

I used the app years ago, I didn't realize it was still out there. I have a vague memory of a help button that gives a list of things you can do.

Can you see the current term in the PowerTeacher web portal?

Has your school completed the end of year process and set-up things for 2019-2020?

We are having the same issue. Teacher has a new phone, installed the app, only shows previous terms, not this years. His current iphone that he hasn't turned in yet...shows the 19-20 terms. What is going on?

Thank you for reaching out in the Community!

We are receiving reports of the PowerTeacher Gradebook mobile app not being compatible with the new IOS update.  We recommend reaching out to PowerSchool SIS Support to create a case allowing the PowerSchool SIS Support Team to gather information on the IOS and Mobile app version the teacher is using.  The PowerSchool SIS Team works closely with the PowerSchool SIS Developers and will be able to provide Developers with further information needed to help resolve the issue.

Thank you for your response!

IOS 12.4.1 is the current version of IOS.  We are receiving reports that the PowerTeacher Gradebook mobile app may not be compatible with this version of IOS.  We recommend users experience this issue work with their PowerSchool Designated Support Contacts in the district to report this issue allowing Designated Support Contacts to work with PowerSchool SIS Support to report this issue within your district and provide any further information needed to assist with a resolution.

Our teachers are also having difficulty signing on to the PowerTeacher Mobile app.  The current year's data does not appear.  We are currently using IOS 12.4.1.

Thank you for providing this information! @CharlesS2

We ask that all users experience this issue reach out to the district's PowerSchool Designated Support Contact who are working with the PowerSchool Support Team to gather all information needed to investigate and resolve the issue of the PowerTeacher Gradebook app being compatible with the new IOS version.

I was also having this issue on an ipad. I could only see last year and years prior. When I tap on one of the classes listed in the left, a dialog box opens that says that the class is a PowerTeacher Pro section and must be managed in PowerTeacher Pro. When I choose "open", it opens in a new browser and all of my current classes are there. Maybe try that? Hope it works for you!

PowerSchool is committed to providing the highest quality products and services to our K-12 education customers. Over the past few years, PowerSchool has moved away from developing enhancements on the PowerTeacher Mobile application. On October 1, 2019, we discontinued support and maintenance for the PowerTeacher Mobile app as well as removed it from app stores.  The data in PowerTeacher Mobile will continue to be available through the PowerSchool Teacher Portal for those customers using the PowerTeacher Gradebook version of the PowerSchool SIS gradebook.
