Manage automated email notifications

My wife signed up my email address for daily notifications through the mobile app so I have been receiving every report (progress report, attendance report, balance alert, etc.) on a daily basis. I want to decrease the frequency of notifications but changing the frequency on the mobile app (on my wife's account) does not seem to have any effect. When I go into my PowerSchool account (web interface as I do not use the mobile app) the frequency of email notifications is set to Never. How do I get the daily emails to stop?

@jtm2300 have her check the PowerSchool Parent Portal for your school and look there on the email notification page. It probably got copied over to that location as well.

Hi @jtm2300,

If you are receiving the notifications even when the frequency of email notifications is set to 'Never', then it is recommended to uninstall the existing app and reinstalling it on your phone.

Have your wife log into her account on the web interface and make sure she didn't add your email account there. (There is a spot when you can add additional email addresses - (Separate multiple email addresses with commas) and she may have placed your email address there!

@DanM3, this is exactly what she did on the mobile app, she put my email address in the "additional email addresses" field under her account. When she returns to the same screen, there doesn't appear to be a way to undo or deactivate that action.

Thanks, that did the trick. She actually had more than one account that had my email address listed!
