I am a high school math teacher. I have over 20 assessments that use math symbols. What will happen to them after Dec 2020 with the elimination of Adobe Flash player? Is something being created to replace it?
Hi @DebbieClM,
Thank you for replying to me. When I click on equation, I get this: ????
Hi @DebbieClM,
Thank you for reaching out to the PowerSchool Community for assistance!
I had the same question as the original poster, since my math and science teachers are starting to get nervous about any conversion they might have to do for the dozens of assessments they have created which have Flash-generated equations/formulas used with them. They are asking me, explicitly, whether they should be using the summer to convert all of their equations to jpgs to avoid the content being unavailable or disappearing once Flash is no longer supported. What I think I am hearing PSL say is that they (PowerSchool Learning) will ensure that content created with Flash like the equations and formulas are still usable by the time that Flash stops being supported and the teachers don't have to do anything on their ends to facilitate this -- is this an accurate statement?

Hi @eeason,
Thank you for reaching out for assistance through PowerSchool Community!
All previously created equations in assessments will continue to exist and be visible. However, teachers will not be able to create new ones using the current math equation editor or edit existing ones.
Mine only shows the ???? now. What do I need to do to fix this issue?? It happens on ALL of my High School Math assignments.
Thanks,
Hi @parker8402
In order to view Math symbols, I recommend to open the equation and save it again.
On every problem??? Even I do that it still does not work.
Hi @parker8402
We would like to take a closer look at your Math symbols and settings. We recommend reaching out to support for further assistance.
How do I contact support? I can't seem to find any contact information.
Hi @parker8402
I recommend reaching out to existing Designated Support Contacts of your school who should be able to work directly with the PowerSchool Support team. I recommend working with the school or district administrators to connect with the Designated Support Contacts within your district.
