Grades not syncing for those teachers who are not class owners

Greetings,

In our school, teachers share a master course in Learning (with sections for each group of students). The sections are linked to the groups generated in Powerschool SIS.

Grades seem to sync fine (from learning) for those teachers who appear to be class owners, but not for those who are only listed as teachers.

Anyone has had a similar experience with the Grade Sync Logs?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @mmendez,

Thank you for reaching out through the Community for assistance!  To confirm, are the teachers listed in SIS as a teacher or co-teacher?

Re: Grades not syncing for those teachers who are not class owners

They were listed as Lead teachers in the SIS.

We just changed them to Co-teachers, and included the coursw owner (in Learning) as a Lead teacher.

This solves the problem partially, I mean, the grades are syncing properly. But now, the teacher who is listed as Lead teacher has all the sections of teh course in his Power teacher.

It would be great if Learning courses could have more than one owner.

Thanks

Re: Grades not syncing for those teachers who are not class owners

Each class should have one teacher listed in PowerSchool SIS and can have multiple co-teachers assigned.  The teacher that is assigned to the course in PowerSchool SIS will be the Class Owner in PowerSchool Learning.

At this time, PowerSchool Learning can accept one owner for each class.  The class owner and the co-teachers of each class should have the same control with the exception the owner can delete the Learning class or remove co-teachers from the roster.

I have submitted a feature request on your behalf to the PowerSchool Product team to accept multiple class owners in PowerSchool Learning.  We thank you for your suggestions to improve PowerSchool Learning for teachers.
