Adding image to Learning via "Add Content Block"

Hi all - So when I try to add images into learning using the Add Content Block I get a few options. Such as whether or not it should be a slideshow or a flat list gallery with all the images in it.

The trouble is - the images I have are screenshots and of high resolution. When I upload them to the learning area they are automatically resized to a specific dimension. This brings down the overall quality of the image too. Is there a way (either via Domain Control or elsewhere) that the image preview may look whatever it wants to but clicking on it will reveal or popup the original quality image? Finer details of the screenshot are lost when it gets reduced in both size and quality.

Hope this question made sense.

Thanks.

Shashi

Re: Adding image to Learning via "Add Content Block"

Hi Shashi:

Thank you for your question.

You could try adding those images to a text block instead.

You can do this by going to add content block > on page text > click on the picture icon in the text editor to add the images. You won’t have options such as the slide show that you get with using the image block, but you will have some more options to resize images.

Additionally, you can play around with the page layout under Manage Page to widen the columns if you would like the content to take up more screen space.

Re: Adding image to Learning via "Add Content Block"

Hi @JenniferP

Got it. This is very good to know since people will be looking at adding galleries etc to their course content. Being able to make the distinction between the direct add image and adding it via the "On Page Text" is an important one.

Many thanks.
