Troubleshoot: Error "You Do Not Have Permission To Change The Existing User With Name"

Issue

Getting an error "You do not have permission to change the existing User with name.." when adding users. 

 

 

Solution

If you are getting this error, there may already be an account associated with the username you have chosen in the system. If the user with that username is the one you are trying to register, you should bring them under your management via your educator/navigator code. If the account associated with the username is not the correct person, you will need to choose a different username.
