Troubleshoot: Smart Tuition Error

Issue

PowerSchool Enrollment offers school districts the option of setting up Smart Tuition to assist families with paying fees during the registration process. Smart Tuition allows you to set up payment plans for future tuition payment and choose the payment method you want to use.

If your school district offers Smart Tuition as a payment option, the Smart Tuition page will be available at the end of your form. If you are encountering errors with the Smart Tuition page, we would suggest contacting your school district directly for further assistance. However, there are a few steps you can follow before contacting your school district.

Resolution steps

  1. The Smart Tuition Page does not make an immediate payment.  The data entered updates or creates a new account in the Smart Tuition system and sets up future tuition payments.
  2. Clear the browsing data from your web browser. You can find the instructions on how to clear your browser below:
  3. Switch to a different web browser. PowerSchool Enrollment works best with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, but you can try all the browsers at your disposal!
  4. Attempt to set up your Smart Tuition payment plan from a different device. If you are using a smartphone, try switching to a tablet or desktop computer.
  5. If you have selected to submit payments with a credit card, ensure you are entering the correct zip code. PowerSchool Enrollment will not accept the payment with an incorrect zip code.
  6. If none of the above works, trying in 24-48 hours may be effective.

Still Not Working?

If these steps do not help you set up your Smart Tuition payment plan, contact your school district’s Enrollment section for further assistance.
