My issue is: Parents with students in two different PowerSchool districts cannot have two copies of the APP on their phone. They tell me they have to delete the APP and add it in again every time they want to switch districts.
My question is: Is there a way to put a second copy of the APP on the phone?
Hi @lombardo
The parents do not need to delete the app but yes, they currently have to fully log out and log in with the respective District codes for the different districts. There is no option that will enable you to have a copy of the mobile app on your phone.
The development team, however, has prioritized this issue since it is highly requested. You can share this idea as an Enhancement Request on PowerSchool Ideas Portal so that the product team can take a look at this. This article should walk you through how to raise an Enhancement Request. You can also vote up on this existing enhancement request MIOS-I-41 which the team should be working on.
Thanks @JyotishkaB!
I did vote for the enhancement in the Ideas Portal. I was only the second vote. Anyone using this video should go vote for the enhancement MIOS-1-41.
It's a small world and PowerSchool SIS is everywhere.
How hard would it be to put the APP in the Apple Store Twice. Exact same APP but called PS2 for that second district?
Hi @lombardo
Adding a duplicate of the Mobile App in the Apple Store is not possible. Also, in case, there are more than 2 districts it will not be feasible to create a copy for each.
Thank you for voting up on the existing idea. The product team should be looking to enable switching between districts withing having to log out every time with high priority.
These steps do not work with Google SSO enabled. Please advise how our students can use the mobile app with Google SSO?
Very helpful post. I 100% recommend the Powerschool Mobile App.
Hello PS Community,
I would like to post this video on our district's website. Is there a link that I can use to do so?
Thank you,
Kim Byrne
Hi @kimbyrne,
Good Day! Thank you for your comment. You can just embed the link to this article and they should be able to access this article. We do not have a direct link to this video as the article is intended for the PowerSchool Mobile/PowerSchool Community users.
Please let me know in case of further questions.
If you archived reports on the live side, such as Progress Reports or final Report cards, can the parents view this information somehow on the mobile app instead of just the web-based version of the Portal?
Hi @cmanders1,
Thank you for your comment. If anything has been disabled/not to be shown on PowerSchool SIS then it will not be visible on the app as well.
Please let me know if this helps or in case of further questions.
Can you explain where I would find this in the SIS settings?
Hi @cmanders1
Currently are is no stock "Reports" available in the public portal for the parents to view. You can share this idea as an Enhancement Request on PowerSchool Ideas Portal so that the product team can take a look at this. This article should walk you through how to raise an Enhancement Request.
