Dear support community.
I ran report cards and everything is fine except for one class' comments are not appearing on the report card. All other classes appear, just not grade 8 science. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Marie
Did the teacher enter the comments in the correct term? We are on a trimester system with a six week progress grade and a full 12 week grade (P1 and T1). Ocasionally some of our teachers will list the P1 comment under T1. (This just happened last week.)
You can go into teacher schedules - PowerTeacher Pro and check it out yourself.
Dan, thanks for the response. Appreciate it.
Solution was super simple - a bit of a duh on my end. Teacher had added comments AFTER I stored them. Argh. So all set.
Thanks again and enjoy your weekend,
Marie
I have the same situation, I believe. If the grades are already stored; can someone still get the comments to print in the report card?
If you report cards pull from the StoredGrades table and the grades were stored before the comments were added, no.
Seems bass ackwards to me how this works. Most programs allow the edit option at any time. Thank you for answering so quickly, @JeffG9 . I have teachers/principles wanting answers yesterday. Well, this can be a lesson to them that timing is everything 🙂
@rriggsThe gradebook doesn't sync with or "talk to" the StoredGrades table. Storing Traditional grades is basically taking a snapshot of what is in the gradebook and storing it in another table. Standards grades update in real-time.
If you are using PT Pro there is a "Final Grade Status" option that will allow teachers to mark that their grades are ready to be stored. There is a "Section Readiness" report you can run on the Admin side to see if teachers are ready.
