This password reset link has been deactivated. - TalentEd

We are having reports of users who get the following message after clicking on the reset password email link sent to them. "This password reset link has been deactivated." Is there something we must do to allow for users to reset their passwords?

Hi there,

Is there an answer to this yet?  I've been getting this message for two weeks now and really need to move forward with applying for an internal position.  I appreciate your help.

Hi,

Did you receive a resolution to this issue? We have jobs closing daily and applicants (external) unable to apply because they cannot proceed with forgot password protocol.

Any information you can share is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for responding to the post!

It appears the user may have been able to reset his or her password after clearing the cache within the browser and choosing to have a password reset link sent again.  I recommend clearing your cache then walking through the password reset process again.

Here is a link that will walk through the steps of clearing the cache in the most common browsers.

I have cleared the Cache and all browsing history and still get this message. I can't even log in to start to apply for a job

Hi! @Prenfro

The error about the deactivated link is due to your district IT blocking the link to go through.  It is very common to have external emails scanned for links and the protection software to access the links to check for safety.  I recommend reaching out to the IT  who should be able to 'white list' emails from the PowerSchool domain.  This would allow external emails to still have the one-time reset link available.

Hi, I had this same problem and it turned out that it was because I have a password manager program that auto-fills in the password. That was messing up what was going on. What I did was open a different browser that does not have that auto-fill function set up. then I clicked the "forgot password" thing, filled in my email and it sent me the email. Then when I clicked on the link in that email, the link worked.
