Switching a student in PS to a different class within the same school

I have a data manager who is needed to switch a student from one 3rd grade class into another 3rd grade class within the same school.  Can anyone assist with this process?
Thank you so very much for your help!

Hi @arallen,

Thank you for posting in the Community.

You should be able to move the student from one section to another section by following the listed process:

1. Drop the student from the enrolled section.

2. Then Enroll the students in the new Section.

3. Then use the new PowerTeacher Pro to transfer the grades of the student from one section to another.

The transfer feature in PowerTeacher Pro provides teachers with the ability to copy scores for a student that has switched sections during the school year, allowing the student to continue to get credit for their work during a term. More instructions regarding how to copy the grades in PowerTeacher Pro:

1. Log in to PowerTeacher Pro;

2. Select the (?) icon;

3. Select the following options: Grading > Copy Scores and Grades

Please let us know if you have further questions.

Does the assignment list have to be identical?  A student moved from one teacher's section to another, but the "Transfer Scores" button is greyed out, and the error shown below says there are no scores to transfer when the student clearly has scores on the scoresheet and the assignment list.  Thoughts?

Hi @rgattuso

Would you please confirm if the terms are not locked? We recommend reviewing this document- transfer-scores to guide you with the steps to transfer the student scores.

Please let us know in case of any further queries.

@alexis_ramirez   No one's "?" icon shows anything except for Help, Getting Started, and What's New? @ParitoshT  was directing the user to the Help feature. The Transfer Scores feature is accessible from the "Students" menu.
